The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation near Pendleton, Oregon recently started a new project in their Department of Natural Resources (DNR) called 'First Foods'. The project will direct many of the DNR management efforts on traditional foods that connect culture and ecology, such as salmon, game, roots, and berries. Read more here: Page 1 | Page 2 | Page 3
